Global Youth Service Day at Hamby Park
Global Youth Service Day was established in 1988, GYSD) celebrates and mobilizes the millions of young people who improve their communities through service. GYSD is the largest service event in the world and the only one dedicated to the contributions that children and youth make 365 days of the year. Please join us in this youth lead volunteer project. Volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants, help with trail maintenance and mulching landscaped beds. Also, we need volunteers to pick up trash in the natural area adjacent to the park. Hillsboro Parks & Recreation will provide all of the tools needed for the project including work gloves. Activities include: None, Invasive Plant Removal, Litter Cleanup.
