As the new year begins, SOLVE is thrilled to announce a year-long partnership with the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (BottleDrop) to bring community members across Oregon together for the 2025 Community Cleanup and Recycling Event Series. This initiative is an exciting opportunity to take collective action for a cleaner, greener state while reinforcing the importance of recycling. The first event kicks off this Friday, January 10, at the BottleDrop Redemption Center in Beaverton.
Why This Matters
Recycling is a critical step in reducing waste and preserving our natural environment. Each year, millions of beverage containers end up in landfills or as litter, contributing to pollution and harming wildlife. By partnering with BottleDrop, we aim to make recycling accessible and impactful. These events not only focus on reducing litter but also emphasize the importance of proper recycling practices to create a cleaner Oregon for future generations.
About the Event Series
Join us for a litter cleanup event where we'll beautify the neighborhood by removing trash and recycling bottles and cans found during the effort. Any beverage containers found during the cleanup will be donated to SOLVE. ♻️
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their filled Green Bags from home to drop off for processing at the Redemption Center and take home one (or more!) of SOLVE's Blue Bags following the event. (Scroll down to learn more about the BottleDrop Give through Blue Bags)

Beyond the Events: Get Involved with Blue Bags
If you can't attend an event, you can still make a difference through BottleDrop’s Blue Bag program. Through this program, supporters can fill specially tagged Blue Bags to help support SOLVE, and BottleDrop account holders can donate directly from their Green Bag account.
Simply fill the Blue Bags with your containers, drop them off at any BottleDrop Redemption Center, and the funds will directly support our clean-up efforts across the state. It's an effortless way to contribute to a cleaner Oregon from wherever you are. Ask us for more information at the event!
